The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of waste electrical items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system allowing all customers buying new electrical equipment to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their take-back scheme must, at minimum, offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free to take back their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

Can You Return Your Old Items To Us?

Yes. Fastfix complies with the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations. This means that if you buy a new tool from Fastfix, you can return your old tool to us, and we will dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.

It is up to you to return the product to us; it must be an equivalent electrical item to the one you purchased. For example, you would return a cordless drill if you have purchased a new cordless drill. Please clearly mark your parcel when you return the item with "WEEE RETURN".

Can You Recycle Your Old Batteries?

Pipe Tools Pro offers a take-back scheme for all portable waste batteries. You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person, PLEASE DO NOT POST THEM.
